How mailbox counting works against your allowance
Every MxGuard domain includes 25 mailboxes as standard, and mailbox packs add 25 more at a time (£9.75/month per pack). To size correctly, it helps to know what consumes an allowance slot.
A mailbox is a real protected recipient address on your domain — a distinct inbox that MxGuard filters and forwards to. Twenty-five such addresses fit inside the base allowance before you need a pack.
The allowance is about the number of real inboxes being protected, not the total number of address labels — aliases and forwarders that ultimately deliver into an already-counted mailbox don't each burn a separate slot the way a distinct destination does. When your genuine recipient count on a domain climbs past 25, that's the point to add a pack.
Every mailbox — base or pack — gets the identical full AI filtering, quarantine, live feed and high availability. There is no reduced service on the 'extra' mailboxes.
