Payment, VAT and cancelling MxGuard Personal

MxGuard Personal is designed to be simple to pay for and easy to leave.

Price and VAT. The plan is £4.59 per month plus VAT for one domain and three mailboxes. Prices are quoted excluding VAT, which is added on your invoice at the prevailing UK rate.

Billing cadence. Billing is month-to-month with no minimum term, no setup fee and no annual lock-in. If you'd rather pay yearly, annual prepay attracts a 10% discount.

Cancelling. You can cancel at any time. When you do, simply repoint your MX records back to your previous mail route (or your provider's default) so mail once again reaches your inbox directly. There's nothing to uninstall — MxGuard is a hosted gateway, so removing it is just a DNS change.

If you're cancelling because you've outgrown the limits rather than because you don't need filtering, consider moving up to Business instead — it keeps the same engine and adds capacity and add-ons.
