Setting up allow and block rules on Personal

Sometimes the filter is a little too cautious, or you want to permanently stop a particular sender. Allow and block rules give you manual control.

Allow rules guarantee a sender's mail is delivered — useful for a newsletter you want, a supplier whose mail occasionally scores high, or a family member on an unusual provider.

Block rules reject a sender outright, regardless of what the AI thinks.

How to use them well: - Match on an exact address for a single sender, or a whole domain to cover everyone there. - Each rule tracks a hit counter and last-hit time, so you can see whether it's doing anything. - You can give a rule an expiry date if you only need it temporarily.

On Personal, rules apply to your domain. The quickest way to create an allow rule is often straight from the daily digest or quarantine list — release a wanted message and add the sender to your allow list in one step.
