What counts as one of your three mailboxes

Transcom 10 Sep 2025, 04:52

MxGuard Personal protects one domain with three mailboxes. It helps to know what a 'mailbox' means for the plan limit.

A mailbox is a real destination address on your domain that MxGuard filters and forwards to — for example you@yourdomain.com, partner@yourdomain.com and info@yourdomain.com would be three mailboxes.

Aliases and forwarders that ultimately deliver to one of your counted mailboxes generally don't consume an extra slot in the same way a distinct destination does — the limit is about the number of real recipient inboxes being protected. If you need to protect more than three distinct addresses on the domain, that is the signal to move to MxGuard Business, which includes 25 mailboxes as standard and lets you add packs of 25 beyond that.

Every protected mailbox gets the full engine — there is no 'lite' filtering on the cheaper mailboxes.
