Choosing tag mode instead of quarantine

By default, suspicious-but-not-certain mail (scoring in the 0.85–0.97 band) is held in quarantine. Some teams would rather never hold a message and instead see everything in their inbox, clearly marked.

Tag mode delivers those messages straight through with a [SPAM] marker added to the subject line, so users can filter or delete them in their own mail client rather than logging into a quarantine.

When tag mode suits you: - Users who rarely check a separate quarantine and prefer everything in one place. - Environments where a client-side rule already sorts [SPAM]-tagged mail into a junk folder. - Domains where the cost of a delayed legitimate message outweighs the nuisance of seeing marked junk.

Tag mode is a per-domain setting. Note that mail scoring at or above the reject threshold (0.97) is still refused at SMTP time regardless of tag mode — tagging applies to the quarantine band, not to outright rejections.
