Two ways to connect: SIP trunk or individual handsets

Transcom 05 Jan 2026, 13:51

The 25-Line SIP Account gives you twenty-five concurrent channels, and there are two ways to use them.

As a SIP trunk to your PBX. Point your on-premise or hosted PBX — Asterisk, FreePBX, 3CX and others — at the account as a single trunk. Your PBX then manages extensions, and up to twenty-five calls can be in progress across it at once. This is the usual choice for offices and contact centres that already run a phone system.

As directly registered handsets. Register individual IP phones or softphones straight onto the account, with the built-in switchboard features (IVR, queues, ring groups) doing the call handling. This suits teams that want a full phone system without running their own PBX.

You can even mix the two. Either way it is all one account, one flat monthly fee, and the same low pay-as-you-go outbound rates.
