dan_n 21 Jan 2026, 04:41

The easiest way to get a Windows softphone is to download the pre-configured MicroSIP from My Account โ†’ My VoIP โ†’ Lines (the "๐Ÿ“ฑ Windows phone" button) โ€” unzip and run MicroSIP.exe, no installation required. If you would rather set it up manually, use these settings:

Account: - SIP server / Domain: sip.transcom.net - Username / Password: your account credentials - Transport: TCP - NAT traversal: ICE only - Media encryption: Disabled - Hide Caller ID: Disabled (leave off or you lose national rates)

Network: - Source port: 5061 - RTP ports: 10001โ€“20000 - Keep-alive: 15 seconds

Audio codecs: G.711u (PCMU), G.729a, G.722, GSM.

Once registered, dial one of the test numbers in our test-numbers article to confirm everything is working.
