Configuring MicroSIP by hand on Windows
The easiest way to get a Windows softphone is to download the pre-configured MicroSIP from My Account โ My VoIP โ Lines (the "๐ฑ Windows phone" button) โ unzip and run MicroSIP.exe, no installation required. If you would rather set it up manually, use these settings:
Account:
- SIP server / Domain: sip.transcom.net
- Username / Password: your account credentials
- Transport: TCP
- NAT traversal: ICE only
- Media encryption: Disabled
- Hide Caller ID: Disabled (leave off or you lose national rates)
Network: - Source port: 5061 - RTP ports: 10001โ20000 - Keep-alive: 15 seconds
Audio codecs: G.711u (PCMU), G.729a, G.722, GSM.
Once registered, dial one of the test numbers in our test-numbers article to confirm everything is working.
