National, Value and Premium routes: the three outbound rate tiers
Outbound calls to landlines and mobiles are pay-as-you-go, and FreeVoIP offers three rate tiers so you can balance cost against routing quality:
- National rates — the lowest prices, charged when your Caller ID is a number from the same country you are calling. Because the call stays within one country's network it avoids international carrier hops. Dozens of countries are supported; the US and Canada need no local Caller ID.
- Value rates — standard international rates, dialled with a
00or033prefix followed by the country code. - Premium rates — higher-quality routing for destinations where call quality matters, dialled with a
044prefix followed by the country code.
Calls between FreeVoIP accounts are always free regardless of tier. Rates are shown per minute on the rate cards linked from the Calling Rates page.
