Setting a signature and sending as your professional address

Once your Business Email is connected, a couple of small touches make it look properly professional to everyone you write to.

Set an email signature. In webmail or your mail app's settings, add a signature with your name, business name, professional email address and phone number. It's added automatically to messages you send, so every reply reinforces who you are. Keep it clean and text-based — heavy images and logos can trip spam filters at the far end.

Send as your professional address, not a free one. The whole point of Business Email is the credible address, so make sure new messages go out from it. Check the 'From' name shown to recipients is your real name or business name, not a leftover default.

Reply-to matters too. By default replies come back to your Business Email address, which is what you want — avoid pointing replies at an old free webmail account, as it undermines the professional impression and splits your mail across two places.

If you'd like a hand setting your signature up, ask us and we'll walk you through it.
