Choosing your address on a Transcom business domain
With Business Email you don't register a domain — you pick your address on one of several established Transcom mail domains. Here's how to choose well.
Pick the local part carefully. The part before the @ is what customers read and type. firstname.lastname or firstname is clear and professional; avoid nicknames, numbers and anything hard to say over the phone. Keep it short enough to dictate easily but distinct enough to be yours.
Pick the domain that reads best for you. You'll be offered a selection of ready-to-use business domains. Choose the one that sounds most natural alongside your name and your line of work — you'll be saying it aloud and printing it on cards, so read the whole address out to test how it sounds.
Think ahead. This is the address you'll hand to customers and print on stationery, so pick one you'll be happy to keep. If you're unsure which domain suits you, ask us and we'll suggest one.
Once you've chosen, we set the mailbox up for you — there's nothing further for you to configure.
