How checks are counted, quotas and overage

One API call or one widget event equals one check. A few rules keep the count fair:

• Failed lookups do not count — if enrichment could not complete, you are not charged.
• Duplicates within 60 seconds are de-duplicated — a double-submit is one check.
• Test-mode requests never count toward your quota.

If you exceed your monthly allowance, overage applies per 1,000 extra checks at your plan's rate (Starter £3.50, Business £2.50, Scale £1.50). Watch your usage in the dashboard; if you are regularly over, upgrading to the next tier is usually cheaper than paying overage. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated; downgrades apply from the next cycle.
