Reason codes explained: reading why Veritus made its decision
Every verdict comes with human-readable reason codes, so a decision is never a black box. Veritus uses SHAP-style feature attribution to identify the top signals that drove the score.
Typical codes include:
ip.tor_exit— the IP is a Tor exit nodeip.datacentre— the IP belongs to a hosting provideremail.young (3d)— the email address looks only three days oldphone.voip— the phone number is a VoIP linegeo.mismatch (GB/RU)— the IP country does not match the stated countryPASSWORD_BREACHED— the password appears in a known breach
Codes appear on every check in the dashboard and in the API response, so you can audit any single decision and build precise allow/block rules around the codes that matter to your business.
