Reason codes explained: reading why Veritus made its decision

Every verdict comes with human-readable reason codes, so a decision is never a black box. Veritus uses SHAP-style feature attribution to identify the top signals that drove the score.

Typical codes include:

• ip.tor_exit — the IP is a Tor exit node
• ip.datacentre — the IP belongs to a hosting provider
• email.young (3d) — the email address looks only three days old
• phone.voip — the phone number is a VoIP line
• geo.mismatch (GB/RU) — the IP country does not match the stated country
• PASSWORD_BREACHED — the password appears in a known breach
