Where Veritus fits — and what it is not
Veritus is deliberately focused on one job: scoring risk at the moment of signup. Knowing its edges helps you deploy it well.
Veritus is not:
- A full KYC provider — it does not collect identity documents or run sanctions screening. It is an excellent pre-screen before you spend money on formal KYC.
- A CAPTCHA replacement — it complements CAPTCHA rather than replacing it; the two solve different problems (risk scoring versus proof-of-human challenge).
- A transaction-time fraud tool — it scores account creation, not individual payments later in the customer lifecycle.
Used for what it is built for, it stops fake accounts before they exist, which is far cheaper than cleaning them up afterwards.
