Dropcatching Legacy Engine - One Time General help New

How do I use post-check registration?

Post-check registration is the engine's safety net for when the exact catch slot was missed but the domain has still dropped and become available.

If a create didn't land in the precise window, the engine can follow up by attempting to register the name once it is genuinely available — the post-check step. In practice this means you don't have to give up on a name purely because your timing was a fraction off; if it dropped and nobody else took it in the instant you missed, you still have a route to secure it.

This is one of the reasons the modern engine catches more reliably than raw millisecond timing alone would allow.
