Do I still need to use SSH or the command line?

No. The whole point of the Front End Dashboard is that you drive the engine from the web instead of the console.

Submitting domains, monitoring drops live and reviewing results — including the chronological EPP timing data — all happen in the browser. You no longer run catching scripts over SSH by hand for day-to-day operation.

SSH may still be involved when you first set up or install the engine on your server, but the ongoing job of controlling catches is handled entirely through the dashboard.
