A visual front end for engine data that used to live in the console
The current dropcatch engine is a complete rewrite for Nominet's time-release drop process. Under the hood it runs multiple non-blocking EPP sockets and uses a proprietary algorithm that streams EPP writes in blocks for tighter timing.
That sophistication produces a lot of detail — timing points, latency figures, per-drop results — which historically you would read as raw output over SSH. The dashboard's job is to present all of it visually: the seven result points and the latency computation are laid out in the interface so you can interpret them and decide the best moment to fire creates.
The engine does the hard work; the dashboard makes its output legible and its controls accessible, entirely from the web.
