How the dashboard fits with the VPS and engine options
The Front End Dashboard is the control layer, not the engine itself. It drives the current time-release dropcatch engine, and it is designed to work alongside the rest of the Transcom dropcatch range.
- Run the engine on a Multicore Dropcatch VPS — the low-latency server positioned near the Nominet backend — and use the dashboard to control it remotely.
- Own or lease the engine itself and manage it through the dashboard instead of the command line.
In other words, the dashboard is the clean, remote front end for whichever catching setup you run underneath. If you own or lease the catching engine and want a tidy way to operate it, the dashboard is the piece that ties it together.
