What an IPS TAG is and why catching under your own one matters
An IPS TAG is the identifier Nominet gives a registrar; every .uk domain is held against a TAG. TAG Owner Access lets you catch dropping Nominet domains under your own IPS TAG rather than someone else's.
That is the crucial distinction. When a name is caught under your own TAG, it lands directly on your registrar account and is under your control from the moment it is caught — you are not waiting for a middleman to push it across, and there is no dependence on another party's TAG.
If you already hold a Nominet TAG, this product lets you put a proven catching engine behind it without building one yourself.
