The time-release engine on your dedicated server

The server runs the current Transcom engine — a complete rewrite for Nominet's time-release process (introduced September 2022), not an older tool bolted onto a big machine.

That means PHP 7.4 with UTC/Zulu timing, multiple non-blocking EPP sockets, and the proprietary algorithm that streams EPP writes in blocks for tighter timing. On a dedicated server, this modern engine has the resources to be run hard: the same timing sophistication that makes the engine effective, backed by CPU that can sustain a heavy parallel load.
