Why dedicated resources decide contested drops

On a shared catch you compete for the machine's capacity with everyone else catching at the same time. A Leased Dedicated Server allocates a whole server resource to your catching alone.

That matters most on heavily contested drops. The engine's strength is firing many non-blocking EPP sockets in parallel, and each socket needs CPU to sustain. With multi-core capacity dedicated to you, more of those parallel attempts can actually run at the release moment — instead of contending with other users' catching for the same cores.

For short names, three-character names and high-value domains where many catchers are chasing the same release, that extra headroom is often the difference between a catch and a miss.
