Pointing the engine at a non-Nominet EPP registry
Your engine arrives with Nominet parameters filled in, so .uk catching works out of the box. To catch at another registry that uses the EPP/DAC XML process:
- Obtain that registry's EPP connection details and your credentials with them.
- Enter those parameters into the engine's configuration file in place of (or alongside) the Nominet ones.
- Confirm the registry's release/drop model — a scheduled time-release or the older DAC/EPP method — as this affects how you time your creates.
- Test with a single-domain run before automating.
Around 80 countries operate a compatible EPP/DAC process, so the same licensed engine can chase drops well beyond .uk.
