Using the Owned Engine beyond Nominet: the EPP/DAC XML standard

Although your copy of the Owned Engine ships pre-configured with Nominet parameters, the software is not tied to Nominet. It catches dropping domain names from any registry that operates the EPP / DAC XML process — around 80 countries run one.

The configuration file simply holds the connection and protocol parameters for a given registry. Because Nominet's are filled in for you, you can start catching .uk names immediately. To point the engine at another EPP/DAC registry, you supply that registry's connection details in the same configuration file.

This makes the one-time purchase a genuinely reusable asset: one licensed engine that can chase drops across a large number of national registries, rather than a tool locked to a single ccTLD.
