Connecting to Hybrid VPN on macOS and iPhone

Both macOS and iOS include an L2TP/IPSEC client, so no app is required. Use the details from your provisioning email.

macOS: 1. Open System Settings > Network, click + (or Add VPN Configuration). 2. Choose VPN and type L2TP over IPSec. 3. Enter your server address (or vanity hostname) and account name (username). 4. Under Authentication, enter your password and the Shared Secret (pre-shared key). 5. Apply, then connect.

iPhone/iPad: 1. Go to Settings > General > VPN & Device Management > VPN > Add VPN Configuration. 2. Set Type to L2TP. 3. Enter a description, the server address, your account/username, password and Secret (pre-shared key). 4. Save, then toggle the VPN on.

When connected you get both your encrypted tunnel with static IP and the built-in SmartDNS unlocking.
