Using the Block Check to prove FastAPN is filtering your traffic
FastAPN publishes a live Block Check (the "FastAPN Block Check", an Unwanted Data Processing Check) that shows how much of your traffic is genuine versus junk — adverts, telemetry, adware, malware, phishing and tracking.
How to use it:
- On your normal, unfiltered connection, open the Block Check and note the score. Anything below 80% clean means you are being flooded with unwanted data.
- Connect through FastAPN (L2TP/IPsec to
pep.fastapn.com). - Run the Block Check again and compare.
The difference is the junk FastAPN's Deep Packet Filter is stripping at source, before it ever crosses your expensive link. The DPF is just one of the nine processes FastAPN applies, but the Block Check is the quickest way to see it working. Pair it with a before-and-after speed test to see the latency and throughput gains at the same time.
