Adding and editing DNS records

JoshRomano 20 Oct 2025, 15:07

TDesk gives you full authoritative DNS control from the panel, served across three nameservers.

Editing records

Open the domain's DNS in the panel and add or edit records. Supported types include A, AAAA, MX, TXT, CNAME and SRV — enough to point web traffic, route mail, verify services and add SRV-based services.

What happens on save

Changes are pushed to the primary and two geo-distributed secondary nameservers, so your edit is served from all three locations.

Automatic records

When you first add a domain, TDesk deploys a complete zone (A, MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC) for you in around 120 ms, so mail authentication is correct from the start — you're editing on top of a working baseline rather than building a zone from nothing.

Secondary DNS

If your primary DNS lives elsewhere, TDesk can act as slave nameservers for the zone, giving you resilient backup DNS.
