Setting up spam-filter rules, quarantine and digests
Inbound mail on every domain is filtered by MxGuard automatically — it's attached during provisioning — but you also get controls over how it behaves.
What you can configure
- Per-domain sender rules — allow or block specific senders for a domain.
- Quarantine — messages the filter holds back rather than delivering.
- Daily digest notifications summarising what was caught, so nothing is silently lost.
How the filtering works underneath
Messages pass through a LightGBM classifier (0.988 AUC) inside a full reputation pipeline — Postscreen DNSBLs (Spamhaus ZEN, CBL, SORBS, Mailspike, PSBL), URI blocklists (uribl, surbl, Spamhaus DBL), SPF/DKIM/DMARC checks with ARC sealing, ClamAV virus scanning and attachment-risk scoring, plus recipient verification to avoid backscatter.
Nothing to buy
All of this is included free on every plan — there's no separate anti-spam product to license or configure from scratch.
