Setting up Deep Packet Filter on your router (protect the whole network)

Configuring Deep Packet Filter (DPF) on your router is the recommended approach: one change protects every device on the network automatically, with no per-device setup.

1. Open a browser and go to your router's admin address — typically 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1.
2. Log in with your router credentials.
3. Find the DNS settings. The path varies by brand — often Advanced → WAN → DNS or Internet → DNS Server.
4. Enter your primary DPF DNS in the Primary DNS field and your secondary in the Secondary DNS field.
5. If there's an option to obtain DNS automatically from your ISP, disable it.
6. Save the settings. Your router may restart briefly.

Once saved, every phone, tablet, laptop, console, smart TV and IoT device behind the router is protected — no need to touch each one.
