Scaling up: moving to a larger tier as you grow

Because every VPS is billed month-to-month with no contract, the sensible approach is to start on the smallest tier that fits and move up when your own monitoring tells you to — not to over-buy on day one.

When to scale up - Persistent memory pressure or swapping → move to a tier with more RAM (e.g. HA-2G → HA-4G → HA-8G). - CPU pinned across all cores under normal load → step up the HA line, or switch to the SS-4G for more cores at the same memory. - Disk filling up → move to a larger HA tier, or to the HV-8G for a full terabyte on the same 8 GB compute.

How to plan the move - Take a fresh backup first (free on every tier). - Note anything tied to the server's IP address; plan DNS or firewall updates if the new server has a different address. - Because tiers differ in resources rather than platform, your OS choice, full root setup and workflow carry across unchanged.
