run.php vs robin.php: which mode do I use?
The engine ships with two main catching scripts:
- run.php — single-domain, non-blocking mode. Use it when you are focusing on one name.
- robin.php — round-robin mode. It reads multiple domains from a flatfile list and runs fully automated, cycling through them.
Both run multi-socket and non-blocking. For catching many names hands-off, put them in the flatfile list and run robin.php; for a single targeted catch, use run.php. Several additional utilities are also provided, along with nightly Nominet droplist downloads to feed your lists.
