I already own the older SSH software — can I upgrade?

Yes. The current engine is a complete rewrite for Nominet's time-release drop process (introduced September 2022), and existing SSH-software owners can upgrade to it.

The new engine remains compatible with the older DAC / EPP method, so you keep that capability while gaining the time-release features: multiple non-blocking EPP sockets, the block-streaming timing algorithm, seven chronological result points, on-screen latency, and post-check registration.
