Whole-network coverage from your router
You can apply SmartDNS to a single device, or set it once on your router to cover every device in your home.
When you configure the two SmartDNS addresses on your home router, every device that connects through that router — TVs, consoles, phones, tablets and laptops — is automatically covered, with no per-device setup.
This is ideal for:
- Smart TVs and streaming boxes that don't easily allow custom DNS.
- Households with many devices, where configuring each one would be tedious.
- Anyone who wants a set-and-forget solution.
SmartDNS also supports DHCP server configuration, so it can be handed out automatically to devices on your network. Whether you cover one device or your whole home, the setup is the same two DNS addresses.
