How do I receive inbound calls? Adding a DID number
A new Free SIP Account is ready for outbound and VoIP-to-VoIP calling. To receive calls from ordinary phones, you need to add a DID (Direct Inward Dialling) number.
- A DID is a real geographic or non-geographic UK number that you can point at your SIP account.
- You can add one at any time after creating your account.
- Once added, calls to that number ring your registered SIP client.
Adding a DID is the recommended way to turn your free outbound account into a full two-way phone line. Contact Transcom support if you need help choosing or provisioning a number.
