Reboots, the firewall, backups and recovering access
Day-to-day server management is all self-service from your Transcom panel.
Rebooting. Use the Reboot control in the panel any time you need to restart the server — after kernel updates, to clear a hung service, or as a first troubleshooting step.
Firewall. Every VPS has built-in firewall management. Use it to allow only the ports your workload needs (for example SSH/RDP and your application ports) and block everything else. Take care not to lock yourself out — if you do, you can still get back in via the console.
Backups. Free backups are included with every plan, giving you a safety net before risky changes such as a reinstall or a major upgrade.
Recovering access. If you lose network or SSH access — a bad firewall rule, a misconfigured network setting, or a failed boot — open the NoVNC web console from the panel. Because it is out-of-band, it reaches the server even when the network does not, so you can fix the problem and get back in without raising a ticket.
DDoS protection runs on every server automatically, so there is nothing to configure for that.
