Getting started: ordering your first VPS
Getting a Transcom VPS online is quick — servers are provisioned and reachable within minutes of ordering.
- Pick a tier. Decide roughly how much RAM, CPU and disk your workload needs (see our tier guide). If you are unsure, start small — you are on a month-to-month plan and can move up later.
- Choose your operating system. Select from the available Linux distributions, Windows Server 2025, or plan to bring your own ISO.
- Order and wait a few minutes. Instant setup means the server is provisioned and online shortly after you order. You will receive its IP address and access details.
- Log in. For Linux, connect over SSH using the credentials provided. For Windows, use Remote Desktop. If you cannot reach it over the network for any reason, open the NoVNC web console from your panel to get in.
- Secure it. Update the OS, set up your own user and keys, and configure the built-in firewall to allow only the ports you need.
Every server includes IPv4 and IPv6, unlimited bandwidth, free backups and DDoS protection from the moment it comes online.
