Full root access and operating system choice

Every Transcom VPS comes with full root access. It is your machine — you can install anything you like and configure it however you need, right down to the kernel and system services.

You are not limited to a fixed image, either. When you set up or reinstall a server you can choose from:

• A selection of Linux distributions — the common server distributions are all available.
• Windows Server 2025, for workloads that need a Windows environment.
• Bring your own ISO — if you need an operating system or a specific image we do not list, you can upload and install any OS image yourself.

Because the platform is built on KVM, these are genuine operating-system installs on a real virtual machine, not a restricted container. That means you control the entire stack, from the OS upwards, exactly as you would on physical hardware.
