FAQ: cost, ownership and email forwarding
Does WHOIS Privacy cost extra? No. It's included free on eligible TLDs.
Do I still own the domain if privacy hides my name? Yes. You remain the legal registrant — privacy only changes what's displayed publicly, not who owns the name.
Will people still be able to contact me about the domain? Legitimate enquiries can reach you via the privacy/forwarding contact where a proxy is used; for redacted gTLDs there's usually a web form or relay to reach the registrant.
Does privacy affect my website or email? No, none at all — it only touches the WHOIS record, not DNS, hosting or mail.
Can the police or a court still find out who I am? Yes, through proper legal channels. Privacy blocks casual scraping, not lawful disclosure.
Is it available on every domain I own? Only on eligible TLDs; the panel shows which of your names qualify.
