FAQ: renewals, refunds and moving a premium name away

Will I pay a premium to renew each year? No. The premium is a one-off purchase price. Renewals are charged at the standard registry rate for that TLD.

Can I get a refund? Premium domain sales are final once the name is transferred, because the transfer is irreversible. If a purchase cannot be fulfilled for any reason, you're refunded in full.

Can I move the name to another registrar later? Yes. For .uk names you can change the IPS tag; for gTLDs you can request the auth/EPP code. Note that a 60-day transfer lock applies to gTLDs after a change of registrant or an inbound transfer.

Do I own it outright? Yes — you're the legal registrant, exactly as if you'd registered the name yourself.
