What to expect after you buy: the transfer timeline

After payment clears, your name is reserved and enters transfer. Timescales depend on the extension:

• .uk / .co.uk: the IPS tag change is usually completed the same day. You may receive a Nominet notification confirming the registrant change.
• .com / .net / other gTLDs: if the name is pushed within the registrar, it can be same-day. If a full EPP transfer is required, allow up to 5–7 days under ICANN rules, including any registry lock periods.

You don't need to do anything during this window — our team drives the process. You'll get an email when the name lands in your TDesk panel. If you haven't seen movement after a few business days, contact support with your order reference and we'll chase it.
