How your domain is transferred after purchase

Once you complete a purchase, the name moves into a secure in-house transfer handled by Transcom directly — there is no external broker or escrow service in the middle.

What happens next depends on the extension:

• .uk / .co.uk (Nominet): the domain's IPS tag is changed to bring the name under Transcom's registrar tag, and registrant details are updated to you. This is usually near-instant once initiated.
• .com / .net and other gTLDs: the name is either pushed to your account within the registrar or moved by EPP/auth code transfer. Standard gTLD transfers can take a few days to complete under ICANN rules.

Throughout, the name is reserved to you and cannot be sold to anyone else. When the transfer completes, the domain appears in your TDesk panel ready for DNS, email and hosting — managed alongside the rest of your services with one login and one bill.
