Sending attachments and understanding tracking states
Attachments
You can attach files of up to 10MB to a certified email. The file names of your attachments are recorded on the PDF certificate, so the certificate shows not only that the message was delivered but which files were included.
Tracking states
As your message travels, MailProof updates its status through: submitted → dispatched → delivered → confirmed → opened. Delivery is confirmed once the recipient's mail server accepts the message — that is the point at which your certificate is generated.
The opened state relies on read tracking, which some email clients block. If you do not see an opened event, it does not mean the message was unread — the certificate still proves the message was delivered to the recipient's server.
