How to transfer a .com/.net/.org to Transcom
- At your current registrar: unlock the domain (remove the registrar/transfer lock) and, if WHOIS privacy is on, temporarily disable it so the registry can read the registrant email.
- Get the auth/EPP code from your current registrar's panel (some email it to the registrant instead).
- In the Transcom panel: open Domains → Transfer a domain, enter the domain name and paste the auth code exactly (it's case-sensitive).
- Confirm and pay for the transfer (for most gTLDs this adds a year to the term).
- Watch your email — the registry sends the registrant an authorisation request. Approve it.
- Optionally approve the transfer at your old registrar to skip the 5-day wait.
The domain lands in your Transcom account within roughly 5–7 days, or sooner if approved promptly. Your DNS and email keep working throughout as long as you don't change nameservers.
