Domain Transfer to Transcom: an overview
Domain Transfer moves an existing domain you already own away from your current registrar and into your Transcom account, so it sits alongside your other domains, hosting and email in the TDesk panel on one login and one bill.
Transferring does not change who owns the domain — you remain the legal registrant throughout. It simply changes which registrar manages the name. As a Nominet-accredited and Enom-accredited registrar we can bring in .uk, .com and most other TLDs.
We handle the fiddly parts for you: obtaining and applying the auth/EPP code, or (for .uk) coordinating the IPS tag change. Critically, a transfer keeps your DNS and email working throughout — provided you don't change your DNS at the same time, there is no downtime. For most gTLDs a transfer also adds a year to your registration term.
