How to enable auto-renew so you never lose a domain

The single most common way people lose a domain is forgetting to renew it. Auto-renew removes the risk.

1. Open Domains and select the domain.
2. Toggle Auto-renew on.
3. Make sure a valid payment method is on file and your billing email is current.

With auto-renew on, we attempt renewal automatically ahead of the expiry date and email you a receipt. You'll still get reminders beforehand so nothing is a surprise.

If you'd rather renew manually, leave auto-renew off but watch the reminder emails — we send them well before expiry and again during the grace period. Renewing during the normal grace window costs the standard price; letting a domain fall into redemption adds a registry redemption fee, so don't cut it fine.
