Honest renewal pricing and why it matters
A lot of registrars advertise a headline £0.99 first year and then renew the same domain at many times that price. We don't.
Transcom quotes live, dynamic pricing pulled directly from the registry. The price you pay to register is, barring a registry-side wholesale change, the price you pay to renew. There are no fake discounts and no renewal spikes.
Renewals are handled from the panel:
- Every domain shows its expiry date and current renewal price.
- You can renew manually at any time, extending the term by one or more years up to the registry maximum.
- Auto-renew can be switched on per domain so a name never lapses by accident.
- Renewal reminders are sent well before expiry, and again during the grace period if a domain does expire.
Most registries provide an auto-renew grace period (often around 30–45 days) after expiry during which you can still renew at the normal price. Beyond that a domain may enter redemption, where recovery is possible but carries a registry redemption fee, before finally being released for anyone to register.
