No — in most cases DPF makes your connection faster, not slower.

Around 70% of the data delivered to a typical connection was never requested: adverts, trackers, telemetry and background noise. DPF deletes this before it arrives, which frees up real bandwidth for the content you actually want.

This effect is most pronounced on constrained links. DPF is proven on high-latency satellite, air-to-ground and in-flight networks, where reducing unrequested traffic lowers contention and improves responsiveness.
