How Deep Packet Filter works (the DNS layer)
DPF operates at the DNS layer — the system that turns website and service names into network addresses. When a device tries to reach an advert server, tracker or malicious domain, DPF simply refuses to resolve it, so the connection is never made.
Getting protected takes four steps:
- Choose a plan and complete your order.
- Receive your primary and secondary DPF DNS server addresses by email (via your access ticket).
- Change the DNS settings on your device, router or DHCP server to those addresses.
- Protection is active immediately — no reboot, no app, and no configuration beyond the DNS change.
Set it on your router and every device behind it is covered automatically. There is nothing to install on individual devices.
