Getting started: adding your first domain

Adding a domain is the main thing you do in TDesk, and it sets up the whole hosting chain automatically. Here's what to expect.

1. Point your domain at us first. Set its nameservers (or A record) to TDesk before adding it. TDesk runs a pre-flight DNS check and won't attempt SSL until the domain resolves to us — this avoids burning a Let's Encrypt rate limit.
2. Add the domain in the panel. From your dashboard, add the domain and choose a hosting mode: Website, Forwarding, No hosting, or Shop.
3. Wait about ten seconds. TDesk deploys the DNS zone across three nameservers, publishes a DKIM key, wires mailboxes with SPF/DMARC, attaches spam filtering, deploys the web vhost under your isolated Linux user, and issues a Let's Encrypt certificate.
4. You're live. The domain is on HTTPS, sending authenticated mail and spam-protected before it receives a single message.

If SSL doesn't issue, it's almost always because the domain isn't pointing at TDesk yet — check the DNS and the panel will retry automatically.
