Web front end shows 0 sockets active mid-drop

During the 07:00Z release the monitor page showed 0 active EPP sockets for about 40 seconds even though the catch was clearly firing (I got the domain). Reloading fixed the counter. Feels like the front end polls too slowly during the burst.
