SSL cert didn't auto-renew, site showed NET::ERR_CERT_DATE_INVALID

Got a browser warning on my site Monday morning. Cert had expired over the weekend even though the plan says it auto-renews. Raised it and support reissued within an hour but it shouldn't have lapsed in the first place.
