NoVNC console shows black screen after reinstall to Ubuntu 24.04

Reinstalled the HA-8G with Ubuntu 24.04 and the web console just stays black even though the server is up and SSH works. Reboot doesn't help; had to guess the boot completed. Console works fine on Debian 12.
